We're Here to Help

Let's Clear Up Any Questions

Choosing the right place for your teen’s musical journey is a big decision. We want you to feel completely confident and informed. Below, you’ll find answers to the questions we hear most often. Don’t see your question? Reach out anytime—we’re happy to help.

Getting Started
How do I get started?

Simply book a free 60-minute intro lesson through our booking page. Dallas will call you within 24 hours to confirm your appointment and answer any initial questions. From there, you’ll come in (or log on for virtual lessons), meet Dallas, and experience what We Heal Bro Studio is all about.

The free intro lesson is a full 60-minute session where your teen meets Dallas, shares their musical goals, tries a hands-on mini lesson, and receives a personalized growth plan. It’s completely free with zero obligation. Think of it as a test drive to see if we’re the right fit for your family.

Yes! Absolutely no cost and no commitment required. We believe the best way to know if We Heal Bro Studio is right for your teen is to experience it firsthand.

Nothing! If your teen has their own instrument, they’re welcome to bring it, but it’s not required. We have everything needed for the intro lesson.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to observe the entire session, or if your teen prefers more independence, you can wait nearby. Whatever makes everyone most comfortable.

After the intro lesson, we’ll provide you with a personalized plan showing exactly how we’ll help your teen grow. You can take time to think it over, discuss it as a family, and decide if you’d like to move forward. There’s zero pressure.

Lessons & Scheduling
What instruments do you teach?

We specialize in lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, vocals, and percussion/beats. We also offer guidance in music production and songwriting for students interested in creating original music.

All levels! Whether your teen is a complete beginner who’s never touched an instrument or an advanced student preparing for performances, we meet them exactly where they are and help them grow from there.

Regular lessons are 45 minutes each. This gives us enough time for warm-ups, skill-building, creative exploration, and progress review without feeling rushed.

We offer both in-person lessons at our studio and online virtual lessons. You can choose what works best for your family’s schedule and preferences.

Currently, lessons are available evenings beginning at 5pm. As the studio grows, we’re working toward offering more flexible scheduling options. During your intro lesson, we’ll discuss what works best for your family.

We absolutely love the idea of being able to serve families virtually, and it’s something we’re actively working toward! Right now, though, we’re focused on delivering the highest quality in-person experience where the connection, energy, and mentorship can happen face to face. We believe that for the transformational work we do (building confidence, creating a safe space, and fostering real connection), being in the same room makes all the difference. We’re excited about the possibility of offering online lessons in the future, and we’ll let our community know as soon as that becomes available. For now, we’d love to welcome you into the studio!

We understand life happens. We ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations so we can offer the slot to another student. We’ll go over our full policies during your intro lesson.

No problem! Just let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll work together to find another time that fits your schedule.

Great question! While our primary focus is one-on-one personalized instruction, we occasionally offer small group sessions and workshops. Reach out to discuss what might work for your situation.

Teaching Approach
What is your teaching style?

Our teaching style blends positive encouragement with structured guidance. We create a supportive, low-pressure environment where teens feel comfortable expressing themselves, while also providing clear goals and the accountability they need to grow. Lessons are organized, engaging, and focused on building both confidence and real skill.

Beyond musical instruction, we provide authentic mentorship and emotional support. Dallas is a certified teen life coach and former youth pastor with 15+ years of experience helping young people grow. This isn’t just about learning chords. It’s about building confidence, identity, and purpose through music. We focus on the whole person, not just technical ability.

Yes, but in a practical, applied way. We don’t want theory to feel boring or disconnected. Instead, we teach it through the songs and styles your teen loves, so they understand why it matters and how to use it.

Absolutely! Student input is a huge part of our approach. Whether your teen wants to learn their favorite songs, explore different genres, or create their own music, we build lessons around what excites and motivates them.

Yes, but it won’t feel like homework. We create custom practice plans that are clear, manageable, and focused on what your teen is excited to learn. Practice is encouraged to see progress, but it’s designed to be fun and rewarding, not stressful.

Teens stay engaged because lessons are built around their interests, goals, and learning style. We balance structure with creativity, celebrate progress, and create a judgment-free space where they feel supported and believed in. When teens feel understood and see themselves improving, motivation comes naturally.

Yes! Performance preparation is part of our monthly package, and we love helping students get ready for auditions, showcases, school performances, or just playing for friends and family. We’ll work on stage presence, confidence, and making sure they feel prepared.

PRICING & PAYMENTS
How much do lessons cost?

We offer flexible pricing options:

• Free Intro Lesson: 60 minutes, no cost, no commitment

• Single Session: $50 per hour

• Monthly Package: $160/month for 4 weekly lessons (save $40/month!)

Single sessions are $50 per hour and offer flexibility for occasional lessons. The monthly package gives you 4 lessons for $160 (that’s $40 per hour), plus additional benefits like priority workshop booking, progress tracking, unlimited email support, and regular parent updates. Most families choose the monthly package for consistent growth and better value.

Nope! The prices we list are exactly what you pay. No registration fees, no material costs, no surprises.

Monthly packages are billed at the beginning of each month. Single sessions can be paid at the time of the lesson. We’ll discuss all payment details during your intro lesson.

If you need to pause or cancel your monthly package, just give us notice before the next billing cycle. We’ll always work with you to find a fair solution.

We want music and mentorship to be accessible to families who need it. If cost is a concern, please reach out. We’re happy to discuss options that might work for your situation.

We offer seasonal programs throughout the year:

• Break Mini-Camps: $200 for 3 days (9 hours total)

• Skill Tune-Up Workshops: $60 for 90 minutes

These are separate from regular lessons and available at different times throughout the year.

For Parents
How will I know if my teen is making progress?

Monthly package students receive regular progress updates. You’ll see measurable growth in both skill and confidence. We also encourage open communication, so you’re always welcome to ask questions or request updates anytime.

That’s exactly who we specialize in helping! Many of our students start out introverted, anxious, or struggling with self-doubt. We create a safe, encouraging environment where they can express themselves at their own pace. Building confidence is actually one of our primary goals, and parents consistently share how much growth they see.

Absolutely. We provide structure, clear goals, and gentle accountability to help teens stay on track. But we balance that with encouragement and understanding. The goal is to build discipline and commitment without creating pressure or stress.

That’s completely up to you and your teen. Some families prefer regular updates and involvement, while others want their teen to take full ownership. We’re flexible and will work with whatever level of involvement feels right for your family.

Yes. Dallas is a certified teen life coach and former youth pastor with 15+ years of experience working with young people. Parents consistently mention feeling at ease from the first interaction, citing clear communication, professionalism, genuine care, and a safe environment where teens can be themselves.

We get it, sometimes teens lose motivation or hit a rough patch. If that happens, we’ll talk it through together. Often, it’s about adjusting the approach, trying something new, or addressing what’s really going on beneath the surface. Our goal is to help teens push through challenges and rediscover their passion, not just let them walk away.

Yes, especially for monthly package students. We provide progress updates and are always available via email or phone if you have questions or concerns. Open communication is important to us.

For Students
What if I've never played music before?

That’s totally fine! Most of our students start as complete beginners. We’ll meet you exactly where you are and help you build skills step by step. No judgment, no pressure—just encouragement and clear guidance.

Awesome! We work with advanced students too. We’ll challenge you, help you refine your technique, explore new styles, and take your skills to the next level.

Not a chance. Lessons are built around what you’re excited to learn—whether that’s your favorite songs, creating your own music, or mastering a specific skill. We keep things engaging, creative, and fun while still making real progress.

Mistakes are part of learning! This is a judgment-free zone where it’s safe to try, mess up, and grow. You’ll never feel judged or embarrassed here.

100%. We want you to play music you’re excited about. Bring your favorite songs, and we’ll teach you how to play them while building the skills you need.

Totally normal, and you’re not alone. A lot of students start out feeling nervous or unsure. Dallas creates a chill, welcoming space where you can relax, be yourself, and take things at your own pace. No pressure, just support.

Only if you want to! Performance opportunities are available for students who are interested, but they’re never required. We’ll never force you to do something you’re not ready for.
